The Organization of Women in International Trade host IBN

MIAMI, FLORIDA-April 29, 2010- The Organization of Women in international Trade South Florida Chapter otherwise known as OWIT -South Florida hosted its April 2010 networking event surpassing their members’ expectations. While the organization is known for making significant strides in fostering International Relations and International Trade business and educational opportunities for women worldwide, the event held at lionized Club 50 at the Viceroy Miami became ground for an evening spectrum which transitioned from business networking to social networking, light entertainment and more.

150 guests upon arrival, were showered with every after work treat possible from complimentary vodka to hors d’oeuvres, special Bordeaux wines, gifts from brands like Christian Dior, Jo Malone of London and a poolside view of the Brickell’s Financial District to enhance any networking experience. Antonio Pinheiro, President of the recently chartered and most recent Rotary Club in the US, the Rotary Club of Brickell was present to discuss its world wide gargantuan humanitarian efforts in nearly eradicating Polio . This newly birthed chapter utilized this forum of primarily executive women to advance its continued End Polio Project.

Other attendees such as Anne Freedman of Speakout, Inc. and the past President of NAWBO and Jennifer Diaz of Becker and Poliakoff and the current President of OWIT designed the evening with the flair of unparalleled executive female representation. The Professional Black Book Club and members of other local social networking groups sealed the fate of this event into what was to be an effective forum for putting women and businesses in the spotlight.

As the event drew nearer to a close, prizes including a trip to Bimini Bay, to visit the Related Group’s Bimini Bay Project were among the most sought after, as the delivery of brief speeches and announcements were adjourned. Live music continued to fill the air with live sounds from Cat Shell as gifts from Clientele at Nordstrom were distributed to guests upon exiting.
