Momentum Building for 2007 OWIT World Conference

Miami-Dade EDOs Support Event & Linda Rottenberg, CEO of Endeavor, Named Woman of the Year

July 20, 2007 – (Miami, Florida) – Today the Miami Chapter of the Organization of Women in International Trade, a professional organization designed to promote women engaged in global commerce announced that plans for this October’s World Conference are looking bright.

 “Without hesitation, OWIT’s World Conference is an incredible opportunity to showcase the best South Florida has to offer on the global business landscape, “ stated Helen Picard, OWIT Miami’s President. “Undoubtedly women are excellent planners and executors. And through our local chapter members who are charged with hosting and organizing this event, the pace to build support is fast and strategic.  We have already presented our MOP to the Beacon Council, Enterprise Florida, the Jay Malina International Trade Consortium, the Port of Miami, the Miami-Dade Aviation department, the Governor’s Office of Tourism, Trade and Economic Development, the Greater Miami Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, the World Trade Center Miami, among many others. As exciting is the yet-to-be-nationally announced award to Linda Rottenberg, CEO & Founder of Endeavor, for the 2006 OWIT Woman of the Year.  This award is given annually to a woman that has furthered international trade through excellence and innovation and who by doing so has enhanced the status of women in international trade and business. She will be invited to speak at this conference.
